Death livens your senses more than anything ever has.
Before you even see the hyenas, you hear their evil cackling. They circle your jeep with chunks of freshly dead antelope, the nasty smell of blood and innards so overwhelming you can taste it in your throat. The hyenas savagely tug-of-war the carcass so close to you that a stray tendon from the antelope's severed head almost whips you in the face. You touch your own neck and feel your pulse jolt.
